Very good quality splitter compared to the cheap one that it replaced. I have not been able to notice any signal quality loss.
Also, my Comcast cable modem was connected to this splitter without any problems.The Verizon technician measured the signal strength on entry and exit from this splitter as part of the installation, and he told me that the signal loss was 11dB and not 7.5dB as written on the splitter. I replaced an old "no name" splitter with this splitter in preparation for switching from Comcast to Verizon FiOS. I viewed regular (not HD) TV with this splitter prior to switching to FiOS, and the picture quality was fine. He replaced this splitter with a 4-way PDI Mega Splitter he brought with him, and he showed me that the signal loss of the PDI splitter was 7.5dB as expected. In summary: signal loss is much higher than advertised.
This product is an important branch point in my home cable TV network. Again, all look good. All downstream points look good. Three are direct, one splits again three ways. Good price and good performance. I would chosse this one again over others I looked at.
If you're trying to split your cable connection between your Cable modem & Cable TV this is the splitter to get. Signals come thru "loud & clear."I have it paired with a Motorola Signal Booster & everything works beautifully. Do not waste your money (& valuable time) on cheap splitters.
I reduced one connector (now using a total of three splitters) out of the cabling system which fixed the distortion on the HDTV but didn't fix the snow on the other. After having trouble with a pixelating image and distorted sound on one of my newer tv's and a bit of a snowy picture on another I did some research. Minimizing and upgrading splitters seems to be the conventional wisdom. I then replaced the previous hardware store versions with these and the picture cleared up. Great connectors, as stated in the other review, worked as advertised.
